In brief · compiled from vokalu.com

What is it?
Vokalu is a voice-typing app that turns speech into cleaned-up text in the app where you are typing. It also creates notes from meetings and uploaded audio or video recordings.
Who is it for?
It is for people who type in Windows or Mac apps and want to dictate text. It can also be used by people who need notes from calls or recordings.
How does it work?
You click where you want text, hold a keyboard shortcut, speak, and release it to insert the text. For meeting notes, you start notes before a call or upload an audio or video recording; Vokalu identifies speakers and records decisions and tasks.
What does it cost?
Dictation costs 1.5¢ per minute of talking, or 2¢ per minute with formatting. Meeting notes and recordings cost 2¢ per minute of talking; the free plan includes a 25¢ weekly charge and a 75¢ welcome credit, with a $1 starting credit mentioned on the site.

Vokalu turns spoken words into clean text inside the apps people already use on Windows and Mac. It removes filler words, follows spoken corrections, and can format thoughts as lists. Users can also create meeting notes from calls or uploaded recordings, with speakers identified and no bot joining the call.
